Stephen R. Collins, CEO

Stephen R. Collins is a growth through innovation oriented business leader with extensive management expertise and a deep passion for embracing customer challenges and opportunities. While he will be based in the Philadelphia area, Stephen thrives visiting with marketers and will spend much of his time traveling throughout the United States and Europe.   For the last twenty years, Stephen has been a C-level leader and board member focused on one priority - delivering exceptional value to clients. During this period, Stephen’s professional pursuits include experience with on premise enterprise software, SaaS, social media, e- commerce, programmatic advertising and healthcare technology. He has held the titles of Chief Executive Officer, President, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Information Officer and Chief Innovation Officer reflecting his diverse skills as a leader and operator.

Stephen began his career in 1988 as an auditor with the accounting firm of PriceWaterhouseCoopers. After starting his career in public accounting, Stephen joined Colgate-Palmolive Co. in 1992 as a member of their global finance organization focused primarily on emerging markets in Eastern Europe. In early 1997 into 2002, Stephen moved into the technology industry as a member of the leadership team during the start-up and explosive growth phase at DoubleClick which was acquired by Google in 2007. Stephen’s career in technology continued between 2002 and 2007 as a significant shareholder and CEO of Juris, Inc. a software company serving the legal market that was acquired in 2007 by LexisNexis. In 2010, Stephen joined e-commerce SaaS solutions provider Bazaarvoice as CFO where he led the company through a successful IPO and follow-on offering in 2012. In November of 2012, Stephen assumed the CEO role at Bazaarvoice after the departure of the company’s CEO and co-founder.    More recently in June of 2015 to May of 2017, he served as CFO and President of San Francisco based programmatic advertising technology company Quantcast. In addition to his operating roles, Stephen is active angel investor, business advisor and director. Currently, he serves on the board of Kenshoo, Inc. a digital marketing technology provider and is an operating partner at Blackwatch Advisors a financial advisory services and early-stage venture investment firm.

Stephen holds a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Alabama and is a CPA.    Stephen is a competitive road cyclist one of the leading supporters of the USA Cycling Development Foundation as a member of their Champion’s Club.

David Brussin, Founder and Chairman

David Brussin is an entrepreneur and innovator whose career has been dedicated to helping marketers succeed in the digital world. In 1996, David co-founded InfoSec Labs, which helped large enterprises move safely into ecommerce and online marketing in the early days of the commercial Internet. Following the success of InfoSec Labs, he co-founded ePrivacy Group, developing technology that allowed marketers to use email to build strong customer relationships, and TurnTide, a technology that protected the value of the email channel by attacking spam in a new and effective way.

David founded Monetate with David Bookspan in 2008 to help online marketers fulfill the long-held promise of using Big Data to get the right experience in front of the right customer at the right time. David collaborates regularly with Monetate customers to understand their challenges and evolve Monetate products to best meet their needs. He is dedicated to shaping and preserving the culture that makes Monetate one of Pennsylvania’s “Best Places to Work.”

David serves on the Board of Directors of Shop.org, the world’s leading professional association for digital retailers. He also served on the Board of Directors of Invite Media from 2007 until its acquisition by Google in 2010. He is a published author, holds several patents on his inventions, and is an avid adventurer and hobbyist.

Brian O'Neill, Chief Technology Officer

Brian is CTO at Monetate, where he lives at the intersection of innovation and execution. Brian has a proven track record of applying open-source solutions to enterprise-scale data and analytics problems, specializing in big data, high-throughput, real-time systems.

Brian began his career in Silicon Valley, but as a Philadelphia native, he has returned to the region and is dedicated to growing the innovative, entrepreneurial spirit of the city.  

When Brian is not building communities, writing code, or contributing to open source projects, he is writing books. He has published and contributed to books on machine learning, real-time processing, and distributed databases. This venture has led to recognition as a perennial Datastax Cassandra MVP and winner of InfoWorld’s Technology Leadership award. He is a graduate of Brown University and holds patents in artificial intelligence, data management, and service orchestration.

Mark Servati, Vice President of Sales, North America

As Vice President of Sales, Mark Servati leads the go to market team in North America at Monetate.  Mark joined Monetate in 2014 and rapidly established himself as a sale innovator.  Prior to Monetate Mark perfected his customer centric leadership in the digital advertising technology space.

Mark is a huge rugby fan, having played and toured the country with his alma mater, the Bloomsburg Huskies.  Mark lives in Bucks County Pennsylvania with his wife Keegan, and his biggest life accomplishment, his two sons Luca and Kai.

Jens Vang-Lauridsen, Vice President of Sales, EMEA

As Vice President, EMEA Sales at Monetate he is responsible for leading the European sales organization and growing market share in Europe. He is a senior software executive with over 15 years’ experience selling across EMEA. Prior to joining Monetate, Jens held VP of EMEA Sales roles at Act-On, Zimbra and Telligent. He also held a senior sales role at Inquira, and first started his career in software sales at IBM. Jens holds a Master of Laws degree from the University of Copenhagen.

Jay Sarwar, Vice President, Services

Jay leads Monetate’s Client Services org across North America and Europe. He has a passion for helping consumer enterprises formulate high-impact digital strategies, and for driving execution through the Monetate platform. 

Prior to joining Monetate, Jay spent ten years in Silicon Valley helping to scale venture-stage technology firms. He joined Monetate from Xtime, an automotive retail platform that was successfully acquired by Cox Enterprises in 2014. Prior to that he served in various roles at Codexis, which completed its IPO in 2010. 

Jay holds an MBA from Yale School of Management with concentrations in Finance and Corporate Strategy. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Drexel University. 

Jay resides in New York and is based in Monetate’s midtown Manhattan offices.

Shikhin Agarwal
Shikhin Agarwal, Vice President of Products

Shikhin Agarwal is the Vice President of Products at Moneate. He is a growth strategy leader with extensive product, go-to market and P&L expertise. Shikin is passionate about making customers win through innovative products in today’s fast paced business. Over his career, Shikhin has led international teams and businesses at early & growth stage companies as well as worked closely with tech investors.

In his most recent professional experience, Shikhin worked in the tech startups ecosystem at Toronto, Canada. He co-founded and led strategy, go-to market and M&A for a social media analytics company. He is an expert reviewer of investment proposals for the OCE (Ontario Centres of Excellence), a premium startup investment firm in Toronto, and an advisor to the co-founders/CEO of tech startups - Clik.ai (Fintech) and BizMerlin (HRtech).

Shikhin has an engineering degree from the top tech school in India, IIT Bombay and MBA from the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor) with a strategy and general management focus. He is an club level competitive squash player and has finished three full marathons.

Jon Temple, Board Member

Jonathan Temple is an Operating Partner with The Riverside Company, a global private equity firm focused on making investments in growing businesses valued at up to $400 million. Prior to joining The Riverside Company, Jonathan was President and CEO of HEAT Software where he successfully orchestrated the sale of the business to Clearlake Capital. 

Jonathan has more than 25 years’ experience as a CEO and operating executive in the software industry with an impressive track record of leading and accelerating the growth of public, venture-backed and PE owned software organizations. Jonathan holds a Bachelor of Science from Manchester Metropolitan University, UK and currently serves as an independent director on the boards of Host Analytics, Metric Insights, Monetate and FirstFuel Software.

Adam Marcus, Board Member

Adam is a Managing Director of OpenView Partners. Adam joined OpenView in 2009 and is currently also on the boards of Kareo, uSamp, Spredfast, Instructure and UnboundID.

Prior to joining OpenView, Adam worked at Battery Ventures focusing on investments in marketing services, fintech, and digital media. At Battery, Adam was on the Board of J. Hilburn, a Board Observer at ExactTarget, and was actively involved with Cortera. Prior to Battery, Adam was Director of Corporate Development for The Boston Celtics, where he led strategic initiatives for the team. He also worked at Lycos (sold to Telefonica), where he was responsible for M&A, private equity, and joint venture investment within North America, Europe and Asia. Earlier in his career, Adam worked in Business Development at Gamesville.com (sold to Lycos) and at Tripod.com (sold to Lycos).

Lucinda Duncalfe, Board Member

Lucinda Duncalfe is CEO of Monetate. A seasoned entrepreneur and innovator, Lucinda has proven experience building mature sales and operations cultures, and developing product strategies that accelerate company growth. She has served on Monetate’s Board of Directors for the past seven years, and helped Monetate create and establish a multi-billion dollar market for digital personalization.

Prior to Monetate, Lucinda was Founder and CEO of Real Food Works, a start-up delivering meal programs for health based on a real food diet, using local restaurants as suppliers. Lucinda has founded and run a number of venture capital-backed companies, including ClickEquations, acquired by Channel Intelligence; TurnTide, acquired by Symantec for $28 million six months after founding, and Destiny WebSolutions, an Inc. 500 winner.

She has won many awards including the Eastern Technology Council’s Enterprise Award for CEO of the Year, was an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year in Philadelphia, and was named America’s 17th Most Influential Consultant by Consulting Magazine. She has served on the boards of Semprae Labs, The Montessori School, and the World Affairs Council. She graduated cum laude from University of Pennsylvania, earned an MBA from the Wharton School in Entrepreneurial Management, and was an Eisenhower Fellow. Lucinda holds a second-degree black belt in Shotokan Karate and is a frequent speaker at industry events.
